Lenoir – Norma Jean Tugman, age 66, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at Caldwell UNC Healthcare. She was born November 5, 1952 to the late Lee Roy McKinley Tugman and Claudia Elizabeth Dellinger Tugman. She was preceded in death by one sister, Martha Ann T. Brown; brothers, Samuel Lee Roy Tugman; Jimmy Bynum Tugman; nephew, Samuel McKinley Tugman; and niece, Elizabeth Annzonette Brown. Norma was a sweet, loving sister. She was a member of Bushtown Menonite Brethern Church. She graduated from Hibriten High School and was a piano student for several years. She also attended Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. She worked at Blue Bell and then Broyhill Furniture for 30 years. She was presently working at Bernhardt Furniture as a head inspector for the last 5 years. Those left to cherish her memory are brother, James A. Tugman; sisters, Alice T. Gilreath and Thelma Elizabeth Tugman; nephews, Jimmy Lamar Tugman; Jamie A. Tugman and Jonathan A. Tugman; and other numerous relatives. A celebration of Norma’s life will be held at The Life Center on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 3:00 PM with Dr. Reverend Terry Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Bushtown Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the service and at the family home, 1361 Old North Road, at other times.
