Norma Jean Killian Johnson

Norma Jean Killian Johnson was peacefully called home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Monday, December 16, 2024, at College Pines Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Norma Jean was born October 12, 1951, to the late Joe and Julia Bradshaw Killian.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Johnson, five sisters:  Rosa Lee Presnell, Maggie Sue Killian, Colene Westover, Dorothy Pritchard Tilley and Mary Ellen Foster; and brother, Bob Killian.

She is survived by a son, William Johnson; step-daughter, Kimberly Parker; brothers, Raymond Killian and wife Shelby, Jerry Killian and wife Joyce; sisters, Edith Brown and Linda Church-Story; and four grandchildren: Elijah, Jeremiah, MacKenzie, and Angelica Johnson.

Norma Jean was a long-time member of Hillcrest Independent Baptist Church and remained active until her declining health prevented her attendance.

The family will receive friends at Hillcrest Independent Baptist Church of Lenoir from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 19, 2024.  A service to celebrate Norma’s life will follow with Pastor Kenneth Poarch officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Cemetery of Lenoir.
