Norma Jean Hall

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Hall, age 74.   A beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Norma will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Norma Hall was born on September 22, 1950 to William “Snook” and Rosa Collins.  Norma was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Hall, her Mother Rosa Collins and her father William Collins.

Norma, better known as, Mama, Mawmaw, Nornie, and NJ was a loving and devoted matriarch whose life was centered around her family. She was the cherished mother of Sonia Hartley and husband Kenny, Travis Hall and wife Amy, Tracy Hall and fiancé Ashley.   She was a doting grandmother to Meghan Johnson and husband Ben, Tucker Triplett, Spencer Hartley, Kyle Hartley and wife Faith, Jon Hartley,  Brittany Hall and Nick , Hunter Hall, Jailee Hall and Isaiah, Jordan Hall and Andrea.  She was the proud great-grandmother of Kamden, Saylor, Kolson and Leia.  Her legacy of love, wisdom, and warmth will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her sister, Martha Goodman and brothers Tom, Chris, Eric and Mitchell Collins as well as her many nieces and nephews who she loved like her own.

Throughout her life, Norma formed lasting friendships and was known for her kindness, sense of humor, and generous spirit. She had a way of making everyone feel like family, and her home was always open to those in need.   Her laughter and compassion touched the lives of many, and she was a true friend to all who knew her.

Norma owned and operated Pixieland Daycare for many years and formed lifelong relationships with the children and their families.  She also worked as a manager at TGandY Department store and Walmart for many years and was a mother figure and friend to many of her employees, she later retired from Kincaid Furniture and went on to volunteer with many nonprofit organizations for several years after retirement.

Norma loved the Atlanta Braves, HGTV and the Hallmark channel, listening to blue grass and gospel music, Blue Moose coffee and being around her family. Norma enjoyed spending her days at home, taking care of her fur babies, Lola, Stella and Nina.  One of her most cherished activities was to gather with family on a back porch to play music and sing. She always looked forward to our trips to Disney World, the beach and the casino.
