Hudson- Mrs. Norma Phillips Eller, “Little Granny”, age 83, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care of Lenoir. She was born September 6, 1935 in Wilkes County to the late Heggie and Iris Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Joseph, Jim, Wade and Wayne Phillips; two sisters, Nell Cox and Jewel Eller; daughter-in-law, April Wilcox. Norma was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ferguson. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jack Eller, daughters, Christine Eller Wilcox and Virginia Eller Hartley and husband, Brent; 2 grandchildren, Jeff Wilcox and Beth Hartley; 2 great-grandsons, Austin Wilcox and wife, Brenda and Landon Hartley-Hargis; sister, Madge McNiel and husband, Bert of Purlear; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Ferguson on Saturday, December 1, 2018 11:00 AM with Reverend Jessie Bowman and Michael Phillips officiating. Interpreter will be Tracy McLean. Pallbearers will be Eli Cox, James Cox, Josh Cox, Jason Phillips, Matthew Phillips, Scott Brown and Jordan Brown.
