Lenoir – Mr. Ned Truiet Triplett, age 82, of Lenoir, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson.Born February 15, 1932 in Caldwell County, Mr. Triplett was a son of the late Ralph Starnes and Lillie Ann Correll Triplett and the husband of Mrs. Joyce Wilson Triplett of the home, to whom they shared 62 years of marriage. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Sturgis Triplett and J.R. Triplett and four sisters, Ruby Triplett, Vallire Triplett, Pearl Maltba and Callie Scruggs. Mr. Triplett was a member of Calvary Advent Christian Church and retired from Bernhardt Furniture, Plant 2.He loved the outdoors, enjoying camping at Wilson’s Creek, gardening and relaxing in his swing. Surviving other than his wife Joyce are two sons, Rick Triplett of Lenoir; Chuck Triplett and wife Beth of Lenoir; one sister, Alda Hamby of Lake Wiley; five grandchildren, Darin Triplett, Matthew Triplett, Kaley Triplett, Lacey Triplett, Van Beach and four great-grandchildren, Meghan Triplett, Tucker Triplett, Katie Beach and Gevan Beach.He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Mr. Triplett’s life will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Calvary Advent Christian Church with Reverend Jim Lee officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2:00 until 3:00 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church.
