Ned Melvin Mclean

Patterson, NC- Mr. Ned Melvin McLean, age 71, of Patterson, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born May 4, 1943 in Caldwell County, Mr. McLean was a son of Mr. Newton Columbus McLean, Jr. of Wilkesboro and the late Myrtle Margie Story McLean. Mr. McLean was a computer programmer for Broyhill Furniture Industries for many years. He was a truck driver for Universal Piano and retired from Forest City Tools as Southeastern sales manager. He is survived by his daughter, Jan McLean Kilby and husband Scott of Statesville; one sister, Linda Sue McLean of Wilkesboro; 2 brothers, Roger Dale McLean and wife Robin of Kernersville; Gary Newton McLean of Lenoir and 2 Granddaughters, Julie Sherrill and husband Ryan of Statesville and Jennifer Gibson and husband Willie of Goldsboro. A celebration of Mr. McLean̢۪s life will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, May 22, 2014 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service with Reverend Roy Kanupp officiating.
