Ned Cresson

Lenoir – Mr. Ned Cresson, age 93, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice. He was born in Caldwell County on November 7, 1922 to the late Charlie Cresson and Valley Shoemake Cresson. Mr. Cresson was a veteran of the United States Army.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Walsh Cresson and his sisters, Dolly Collins and Bertha Wells.He is survived by his sister, Margaret Price and numerous nieces and nephews.A celebration of Mr. Cresson’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Raymond Spann officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service.
