Granny’s Obituary
Our precious mother, granny, sister and beloved friend Ethel “Naomi” Triplett crossed over into Heaven surrounded by her family on Thursday September 26, 2024, at the age of 84.
Naomi blessed this world on November 28, 1939, to the late Guy and Ruby Triplett. She grew up in the beautiful mountains of the Elk Creek Darby community. When Naomi left this world, along with her parents, was her husband Jack Triplett, daughter Hope Triplett and nephew Kevin Triplett there waiting to greet her.
Left to honor her memory are her children Linda Taylor of Lenoir and Clayton Hawkins (wife Lynette) of Ferguson, two granddaughters she loved and adored, Crystal Wagoner (husband Harvey Jr) of Ferguson and Shelby Bishop of Lenoir, great-grandchildren, Hunter Wagoner (fiancé Elizabeth) of North Wilkesboro, Samaria Wagoner of Ferguson, one new great great grandson, Harrison Wagoner, brother Wayne Triplett of Millers Creek, sister Jill Whitman (husband Roger) of Lenoir, nephew, Sawyer Whitman of Lenoir.
To know Naomi was to love her. When you were around Naomi you were guaranteed to have a smile on your face because her goal in life was to make everyone around her smile and laugh. She couldn’t be around anyone without telling them multiple jokes. To know Naomi was to know she never met a stranger. Naomi had a heart for all animals. If she seen an animal no matter where it was, she had to pet it.
A peaceful graveside service to honor a peaceful life will be held on the mountain top in Elk Creek on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Preacher Roy Kanupp officiating.
The service will be located in the Triplett-Walsh family cemetery at 590 Triplett Town Road, Ferguson NC 28624. Pallbearers will be Hunter Wagoner, Sawyer Whitman, Roger Whitman, Wayne Triplett, Harvey Wagoner JR. and Michael Roten. The family respectfully requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Amorem Hospice Caldwell County.
Online condolences can be made at evansfuneralservice.com.
