Lenoir, NC- Nancy Honeycutt, age 74, of Lenoir, died Saturday, January 24, 2009 in Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born January 23, 1935 in Lincoln County, Nancy was a daughter of the late Carl David and Ruby Nance Honeycutt. She was a member of First Advent Christian Church, a graduate from Lenoir High School and an avid sports fan. Nancy was well known for her 25 years of service with WJRI Radio Station in Lenoir. She loved people and was loved by all. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Charles David Honeycutt. She is survived by one brother, Bob Honeycutt and wife Brenda of Raleigh; one sister, Anne Honeycutt of Lenoir; three nieces, Debbie Helderman and husband Steve of Goldsboro; Karen King of Raleigh; Barbara Dean Honeycutt of Cary; one nephew, David Honeycutt and wife Amanda of Lenoir; four great-nephews, Chase and Geoff Helderman; Cameron and Ethan Honeycutt; one great-niece Caroline King and special friends, Sarah Prestwood and Otis and Gail Blevins, all of Lenoir. A celebration of Nancy?s life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2009 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir with Reverend Robert Hodges and Pastor Heath Simpson officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, prior to the service at Evans Funeral Service.
