“Well done, my good and faithful servant,” were surely the words that Louise Kincaid Taylor heard as she went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 14, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.
Louise was the 7th of 9 children blessed to have been born to the late George & Roxianna Simmons Kincaid at the family homeplace on November 4, 1926.
In addition to her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ned Roger Taylor; her beloved son, Roger Kincaid Taylor, Sr.; an infant daughter; as well as her cherished brothers and sisters, Ernest Kincaid, J. Wade Kincaid, Sr., Rev. C.H. “Hugh” Kincaid, Harold Kincaid, Ruth Kincaid Robbins, Edna Kincaid Tuttle, and Carrie Kincaid Bush, and their spouses.
Louise went to Lenoir-Rhyne College to learn how to help run her family’s business, Kincaid Furniture. She worked at the furniture plant, keeping the books, and working as a secretary for the business. She enjoyed her work and all those that she worked with.
After retirement, Louise volunteered hundreds of hours at Caldwell Memorial Hospital where she enjoyed fellowship with other volunteers and serving her community. She was always faithful in visiting her friends, family, and church family that were homebound.
Louise was known for her delicious cooking, her hospitality, her selflessness, her faith in Jesus, and her deep love and devotion to her family.
Those left to cherish wonderful memories of her include her son & daughter-in-law, Jeff & Patty Taylor of Boone; daughter-in-law, Sheila Taylor of Conover; brother Ben Kincaid & wife Louise of Lenoir, granddaughters, Angel Taylor Vannoy and husband Johnny of Mooresville; Crystal Taylor Brooks and husband Eric of Boone; grandson, Roger Kincaid Taylor, Jr. and wife Tammy of Lenoir; great-grandchildren Morgan Taylor Vines & husband Hunter of Lenoir; Leah and Jack Taylor of Lenoir, Sakuya & Carly Vannoy of Mooresville; David & Taylor Brooks of Boone; and a great-great-grandson to be born in February 2024, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm, prior to the service.
