Mozelle Younce Jones

Lenoir - Mozelle (Younce) Jones, age 88, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care.Born in Caldwell County, Mozelle was a daughter of John and Ila Robinson. Mozelle graduated from Lenoir High School in 1948.She retired from Broyhill Furniture Main Office and Mitchell-Prevost Design.As a faithful, lifelong member of First Advent Christian Church, she served in many areas including Sunday school teacher, Bible school teacher, deaconess, and member of the choir. She was a devout Christian who truly shared the love of the Lord with everyone she met.Anyone who knew Mozelle loved her and would agree to never have met a more positive, uplifting person who radiated the joy of the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ila Robinson, and her husband of 56 years, E.M. “Brudge” Younce. Survivors include her husband, Ray Jones, two sons, Mark T. Younce and wife Cindy, Jon T. Younce and wife Kathy; also six grandchildren:Ray Younce, wife Nicole and daughter Raelynn, Mary Younce Bentley and husband Erik, Jon Michael Younce, Jacob Younce, Israel Laws and wife Ashton. The service is being held at First Advent Christian Church in Lenoir on May 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Bobby Hodges and Kevin Skipworth officiating.The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., prior to the service.Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, Lenoir, NC28645, or First Advent Christian Church, 1102 Old North Rd.
