Lenoir, NC- Mr. Moyel Thomas Cuthbertson, age 88, of Lenoir, died Monday, October 16, 2006 at Shaire Center. Born December 16, 1917 in Burke County, Mr. Cuthbertson was a son of the late Sam and Josester Forbes Shell Cuthbertson and husband of the late Sarah Kathryn Anderson Cuthbertson. Mr. Cuthbertson was a retired N.C. Highway Department Supervisor and a member of Cedar Valley United Methodist Church. He had served in the US Army during WWII in Normandy. He is survived by his step-son Joel Anderson and his wife Sylvia of Lenoir, one sister, Mary C. Killian of Morganton; one granddaughter, Cinda Campbell of Lenoir; one grandson, Joel Todd Anderson and wife Diana of Kingsland, GA; one great-grandson, Billy Lee Campbell of Lenoir; and three step-great-granddaughters, Casie Campbell of Wilkesboro; Tarah Macry and Brittany Seay both of Georgia. Other than his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 4 sisters, Dorothy S. Henley, Grace S. Patton, Viola C. Cobb, Hazel C. Powell and 2 brothers, Frank Shell and Wilson Cuthbertson. Graveside service will be conducted 4:00 PM Wednesday, October 18, 2006 at Cedar Valley United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend John Jernigan officiating.
