Monica Watson Brookshire

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Monica Watson Brookshire, age 55, of Lenoir, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at her home. Born December 28, 1961 in Caldwell County, Monica was the daughter of Francine Dula Watson and the late Jim Watson. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and had worked as a health care provider. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Charlie Brookshire of the Home; a son, Aaron Brookshire; a step son, Thomas Brookshire; two step daughters, Amanda Brookshire and Stephanie Brookshire; four grandsons; one granddaughter; three uncles, John Watson, Mike Watson and Chink Dula; she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Monica’s life will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 2:00 PM with Pastor Brian Dula officiating. Interment will follow in the Laytown Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
