Mildred Fox Ferguson

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Mildred Lillie Fox Ferguson, age 98, passed away on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Lenoir HealthCare. She was born in Caldwell County on December 16, 1914 to the late John Fox and Della Hackett Fox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Bobby and Johnny Ferguson; husband, Ben Ferguson; and 10 brothers and sisters. Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her son, Ben Ferguson, Jr. and wife, Holly of             St. Thomas, VI; daughter, Jessie F. Johnson of Bronx, NY; Claude E. Ferguson and wife, Sharon of San Jose, CA; Marlene F. Dula and husband, Calvin of Lenoir; sister, Dorothy Stephenson of Lenoir; brother, Raymond Fox and wife, Thelma of Lenoir; brother, John Fox and wife, Betty of Simpsonville, SC; 19grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Ferguson’s life will be held at Smith Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Charlie Rivens officiating. Interment will immediately following the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
