Lenoir – Mildred Bryant Andrews, age 95, of Lenoir, died Friday, December 26, 2014 at Caldwell UNC Health Care.A service to celebrate her life will be at 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Crest View Baptist Church of Lenoir.The family will receive at the church prior to the service from 1:30 until 3:00.Reverend Michael Isaacs will officiate the service.Burial will follow the service at Blue Ridge Memorial Park. Mrs. Andrews was born on October 21, 1919 in Caldwell County, daughter of the late Ernest Walter Bryant and Pearl Tuttle Bryant.She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Charles E. Andrews.She was a devoted member of Crest View Baptist Church where she served in numerous church roles.Mrs. Andrews graduated from Happy Valley High School in 1938 and was class valedictorian.After retiring from Broyhill Furniture Industries, Mrs. Andrews continued to focus on her family, church and community. Mrs. Andrews is survived by her daughters, Gail Austin and husband Raymond, and Charlene Moore and husband Ken; grandchildren, Crystal Austin Bolger and husband Dave, Kerri Austin Gilliam and Rebecah Moore Shepherd and husband Ray; great-grandchildren, Brett Bolger, Brittany Bolger, Brooke Bolger, Jessica Gilliam, Jacob Gilliam, Anna Grace Shepherd, Lily Shepherd and Luke Shepherd; one sister, Hilda Austin and two brothers, Fred Bryant and Wayne Bryant.In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by a sister, Edith Mahan. Memorials may be made to Crest View Baptist Church Building Fund, 1908 Blowing Rock Blvd., Lenoir, NC 28645.
