Mike Barnes

Lenoir- Michael Dean Barnes, age 63, went home on Friday, December 18, 2020. He was born in Caldwell County on September 6, 1957 to Jesse Barnes and the late Violet Barnes. Mike loved the Lord and he enjoyed the fellowship at Liberty Baptist Church. He hopes to meet all his family and friends where he will be waiting by the Jordan River. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend E.M. Barnes and Cordelia; grandson, Michael Brendon Barnes and his granddaughter, Heather Leigh Harris. Mike is survived by his loving wife, Judy; daughters, Rebecca Harris and husband, Jamie; Robin Moser and husband, Terry and Alyson Pittman and husband, Jimmy; step-daughters, Amanda Carlton and Vanessa Miller; and step-son, Robbie Coffey; 20 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service celebrating Mike’s life will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Dewey Bristol officiating.
