Michael Malcolm Sheets

Hickory, NC- Mr. Michael Malcolm Sheets, age 83, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Hospice of Catawba Valley. Mr. Sheets was born in Neva, TN on July 30, 1928 to the late Walter Ollar Sheets and Martha Tester Sheets. He was married to Donna Taylor Sheets of the home. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters. Other than his wife, he is survived by his sister, Ella Rose Barnes of Mountain City, TN; children, Joseph Sheets and wife, Darla; Yvonne Cook; Kay McNeill and husband, Joe; Edward Sheets and wife, Lori; grandchildren, Kristen, Zachary and wife, Julia and Bonnie McNeill; Kristy, Jessica and Timothy Cook; Taylor, Jade and Savannah Sheets; and great-grandson, Dalton Chatman. A celebration of Mr. Sheet’s life will be held at Lenoir Church of Christ on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Minister John Mayo officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service.
