Michael Morris Nero

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Michael Morris Nero, age 66, of Lenoir, passed away June 10, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Nero was born March 2, 1944 in Paterson, New Jersey to the late Dominick and Grace Buccigrossi Nero. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Gavin Lutz. Mr. Nero served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Long Beach, the world?s first nuclear powered missile carrier, in 1962. He was a salesman for Royal Brass & Hose in Knoxville, TN. Michael is survived by his wife, Donna Huntley Nero of the home; sons, Huntley M. Nero and Cole M. Nero of the home; Joshua W. Lutz, stationed in Afghanistan and wife Sherri of Calcium, NY; daughters, Michelle Herman Taylor of Clayton, NC; and Kathryn L. Barlow of Lenoir; sisters, Donna Eaton and husband, Frank, of Gibsonville, NC; and Carol Ann Raad and husband Edward of University Park, FL; mother-in-law, Frances Huntley of Lenoir; sister-in-law Ginny Huntley of Lenoir; brother-in-law, Steve Huntley of Lenoir; six grandchildren; a god-child; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010, 11:00 AM, in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 26, 2010, at Cedar Rock Country Club, immediately following the memorial service.
