Michael Timothy Johnson

Michael Johnson, 59, of Lenoir, passed away on January 5, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care of Hudson. Mike was born in Kershaw County, SC to the late Roscoe and Martha Johnson. Mike was married to Rebecca Johnson for 28 years. Mike graduated from Camden Military Academy with honors. Mike was a former manager of ProAm Sports of Lenoir, Shoe Show of Lenoir, Blockbuster Video of Hickory, and Check-Into-Cash of Morganton. Mike was currently working in sales at Walmart of Granite Falls. In addition to his parents, Mike is preceded in death by his brothers Ronald Johnson and Gerald Johnson. Mike, in addition to his wife, is survived by a very special sister-in-law, Judy Sentelle. He is, also, survived by a stepson, Darrin Chester and wife Crystal and two grandchildren: Sierra and Ryan Chester. Mike, also, leaves behind a nephew, Jason “Jake” Johnson. There will be a Celebration of Life held for Mike on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Evans Funeral Chapel; officiated by Preacher Lane Hamby. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
