Michael "Red" Goforth

Hudson – Michael Ralph Goforth “Red”, age 66, went to be with the Lord and his son, Bradley at sunset on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Health. He was born in Burke County on October 1, 1954 to the late John Henry and Juanita Goforth. He was married to Regina Mullinax Goforth of the residence for 45 years. In addition to his parents and son he was preceded in death by his sister, Sheila Goforth Arney. Everybody loved Red and he will always and forever be remembered as a great husband, father and Poppa. He was a faithful Christian and a man of few words, but when he did speak you knew it. He and Regina adopted every child and kid they could. He enjoyed his family, friends and grilling out on Sunday’s. Other than his loving wife and best friend, Regina, Michael is survived by his son, Jamie Mullinax and wife, Sandra; and daughter, Kristen Goforth Harrell; grandchildren, Ashley Owen; Mackenzie Goforth; Rhianna May and husband, Andrew; Paige Mullinax and Kaleb Brown; Mia Goforth; and Malaiyh Harrell; great-grandchildren, Caleb Owen; Jessalynn Owen; Avery Owen and Dawson Michael Brown; sister, Lorna Goforth Taylor and husband, John; niece, Regina Mullinax and nephew, Robert Mullinax; and numerous other family members and loved ones. Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Michael’s life will be held at a later date.
