Michael Eugene Gilbert

Michael Eugene Gilbert, 60, of Iredell County, passed away on December 1, 2023 at his home.

Michael was born on March 7, 1963, to the late Garland and Agnes Gilbert.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Paula Gilbert, brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Michael Gilbert (Brittiney Price); grandsons, Kayden, Terry, Kadyn, Stephen; brother, Larry Hamby; sisters, Patricia Thomas, Debra Keller, and numerous other relatives.

Michael loved to hunt, fish, travel in his camper, and enjoyed the outdoors.  He loved his dogs.  Michael was an amazing father, the best “Papa G”, and a hero to his son Michael.  He loved his grandsons and they loved him.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life for Michael at a later date.
