Hudson – Mr. Michael Steven German, age 61, of Hudson, passed away Monday, May 9, 2016 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Lenoir. Born January 12, 1955 in Caldwell County, he was a son of the late Paul Atlas and Ruby Seagle German. He had worked for Broyhill Furniture Company for many years. He is survived by a brother, Larry German and wife Diane; a sister, Joyce Brown and husband George; two nieces, Leslie Brown Barger and husband Luke, Stephanie German; one nephew, Jonathan Brown and girlfriend Jennifer; two great-nieces, Casey German Whisnant and Savannah Brown and a great-nephew, Matthew Barger. He is also survived by a special friend, April Smart and beloved “Best Bud, FiFi” A private graveside service will be conducted Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Blue Ridge Memorial Park with Pastor Jim Ritch and Paul Duncan officiating.
