Michael Chavez

Lenoir- Michael Chavez, age 10, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Carolinas Medical Center. He was born in Caldwell County on October 7, 2009 to Mauro Silva Hernandez and Santos Chavez Acosta. In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his siblings Daisy, Delmi, Toni, Alan, Bryan, Michelle and Sophia Chavez. Michael was a fourth grade student at West Lenoir Elementary School. A private graveside service will be held at Temple Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Joel Bixler officiating. The service is private because of the Covid-19 restrictions. A memorial service to celebrate Michael’s life will be held at a later date, once restrictions have been lifted.
