Michael Elmer Bowyer

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Michael Elmer Bowyer, age 61, of Lenoir, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at his home. Michael was born on March 12, 1951 in West Virginia. He was Baptist by faith and had worked many years as an Occupational Therapist. Michael enjoyed scuba diving and had worked on offshore oil rigs. He was a Vietnam veteran having served in the United States Army. Michael received numerous medals during his service to our country including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with DV, Army Commendation Medal, One Overseas Bar, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Expert in M-16 Rifle. Michael will be remembered and is survived by many beloved friends. A private memorial service for Michael will be held at a later time.
