Melinda Sullivan Keaton

Hudson, NC- Melinda Sullivan Keaton, age 59, of Hudson, died Friday, September 4, 2009 in Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born January 19, 1950 in Caldwell County, Melinda was a daughter of W. Lenard and Margaret Piercy Sullivan of Hudson. She was preceded in death by a sister, Melody Ann Sullivan. Melinda was a member of St. John?s Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at South Caldwell Ministry. Other than her parents, she is survived by her loving companion, Danny Brien; her sister, Ginger Sullivan Day and husband Myron of Hudson; her niece, Mindy Rice and husband Franklin, her nephew, Josh Day and great-nephew, Lane Rice. Other survivors include her grandchildren, Kendra Marksberry and husband Michael; Callie Cox and Shelby Cox and great-grandchild, Michael Lee Marksberry, II, son-in-law, Neil Cox and wife Heather. Melinda?s family invites you to share in the celebration of her life, Sunday, September 6, 2009 at 3:00 PM at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Hudson with Reverend Marcus Ollis officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 2 until 3 PM, prior to the service at St. John?s Lutheran Church and other times at the home of Lenard and Margaret Sullivan in Hudson. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorials being made to St. John?s Lutheran Church, 352 Central Street, Hudson, NC 28638 or the South Caldwell Christian Ministry.
