Mel Cade Sanders

Lenoir, NC- Mel Cade Sanders, age 61, of Lenoir, died Monday, October 20, 2008 in the Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. Born March 17, 1947 in Caldwell County, Cade was a son of the late Charlie and Mary Alice Roberts Sanders. He was a member of Bethel Advent Christian Church. He is survived by 2 brothers, Bill and Dwayne Sanders, both of Lenoir; 5 sisters, Annie Mae Hice; Bonnie Downs and husband Carroll; Mary Dickerson and husband Pete; Denette Walker and husband Lee all of Lenoir; Beatrice Greene of Newton, his special friend Kay Bowman and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Harvey Ray Sanders, Carroll Sanders and John Sanders. A celebration of Cade?s life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, October 23, 2008 at Bethel Advent Christian Church with Reverend Jerry Burnette and Reverend Billy Pitts officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 PM, one hour prior to the service at the church.
