Maurice D. Becotte

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Maurice D. Becotte, age 63, of Lenoir, died Friday, June 12, 2009 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care. Born September 13, 1945 in Massena, NY, Mr. Becotte was a son of the late William and Mary Alice Laneuville Becotte. Mr. Becotte was an air force veteran serving in Vietnam and also working as an electrician. He attended the Fairview Presbyterian Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Becotte; and one sister, Jeannie Stewart. He is survived by his wife Katherine Becotte of the home; a sister, Doris Huffman of Hickory; a sister-in-law, Joyce Becotte of New York; he is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A candlelight memorial service will be held for Mr. Becotte on June 25, 2009 at the Fairview Presbyterian Church at 6:00 PM with Reverend Edith Pruitt officiating. The family will receive friends a half hour prior to the service from 5:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the church.
