Mattie Mae Bolick Storie

Lenoir, NC- Mrs. Mattie Mae Bolick Storie, age 78, of Lenoir, passed away at the Brian Center in Hickory on September 11, 2009. Born September 24, 1930 in Caldwell County, Mattie was a daughter of the late Victor and Martha Helton Bolick. Mrs. Storie was a member of the Mt. Herman Methodist Church. She worked many years at Kaiser Roth Hosiery Mill. Mattie enjoyed embroidery, watching football, gardening, canning, and reading. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lillie Bolick; one brother, Virgil Bolick; and one niece, Catherine Forrester. She is survived by four daughters and sons in law, Rebecca Storie of Morganton, Denise and Buck Smith of Lenoir, Jeanne and Barry Reid of Lenoir, and Chrissy Storie of Lenoir; three sons and daughters in law, Steve and Karen Storie of Lenoir, Joe and Alicia Storie of Lenoir, and Tracy and Donna Storie of Lenoir; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a loving pet, Dallas; she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A funeral service for Mrs. Storie will take place on Monday, September 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service. Interment will take place in Mount Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery following the service. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kirt Storie, Kelly Storie, Kevin Storie, Matt Storie, Shane Storie, Jay Storie, Dillon Henry, Dusty Smith, and Dana Smith. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Service on Sunday September 13, 2009 between 6 and 8 PM.
