Mary Weaver

Mrs. Mary Frances Weaver, age 89, of Valdese passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at Burke Hospice and Palliative Care.Born September 26, 1927 in Caldwell County, Mary was the daughter of the late Daniel and Roxie Guins. She was a member of the Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. She had worked in the textile industry and then also as a waitress. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Weaver; and a son, Gary Eugene Weaver.Survivors include her daughter and son in law, Sheila and Steve Abernathy of Valdese; she is also survived by one grandson, one granddaughter, one great grandson, one great great granddaughter and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 3:30 PM at the Calvary Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Leonard Lindsey officiating. Interment will be at Catawba Memorial Park in Hickory. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 2:30 to 3:30.
