Mary Virginia Tolbert

Mary Virginia Parsons Tolbert, age 76 of Lenoir, North Carolina gained her wings on May 14, 2023.

Mary was born on November 21, 1946, to the late Coy Hubert Parsons and Mabel Chester Parsons.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Mabel Geneva Chester; her father, Coy Hubert Parsons; and her brother, James Stewart Parsons.

She is survived by her daughter, Nanette McQueen; loving sisters, Sara Parsons and Linda Hoffer (husband, Lester); three loving grandchildren, Jennifer Childers, Joshua Ostwalt, and Christian Rice; seven beautiful great grandchildren; and five wonderful nieces and nephews.

She was a Mother, Sister, Aunt, and Nana. To the world she was Mary, to her family and friends she was the whole world. She never met an animal she didn’t love or a flower garden she couldn’t beautify.

A celebration of her essence will be held from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Evans Funeral Service in Lenoir on Saturday, May 27, 2023.
