Mary Ann Sanders

Lenoir, NC - Mrs. Mary Ann Helton Sanders, age 59, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born May 18, 1953 in Burke County, Mary was the daughter of the late Albert and Daisy Bentley Helton. She worked in the furniture business for many years. She had attended the Whitnel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Ray Sanders; and one brother, Eugene Gene Bentley. Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Paula and Garland Beaver and Tasha and Delaney Cole of Lenoir; one brother and sister in law, Gary Dean Helton Sr., wife Beverly, of Morganton; one step grandson, Nicholas Beck of Sawmills; Mary is also survived by numerous other relatives. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Friday, July 27, 2012 at 4:00 PM at the Bethel Advent Christian Church with Pastor Keith Gilliam and Pastor David Crisp officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Dean Helton, Jr, Roger Helton, Floyd Beaver, Jerry Beaver, Christian Beaver, Brandon Walker and Tommy Kirby. The family will receive friends at the church prior to the service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
