Mary Robbins Lenoir – Mrs. Mary Virginia Kirby Robbins, age 88, of Lenoir, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Lenoir.Born August 4, 1926 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Robbins was a daughter of the late Roy and Fannie Craig Kirby and wife of the late Oscar Carroll Robbins. Mrs. Robbins loved her family dearly.She was a member of Crest View Baptist Church and was a beautician at Mallard’s Beauty Shop in downtown Lenoir for over 50 years. She is survived by her children, Raflee Robbins and wife Janet of Winston-Salem; Alan Robbins and wife Debby of Lenoir; Daryl Robbins and wife Becky of Lenoir; 1 sister, Rayma Lou Robbins of Lenoir; 1 brother, John Kirby and wife Eula Mae of Lenoir; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A service celebrating Mrs. Robbins’ life will be held at 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at Crest View Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Isaacs officiating.Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 at the church prior to the service. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Robbins’ grandchildren.
