Mary Moses

Mary Moses Lenoir- Mrs. Mary Lawrence Moses, age 80, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Gateway Nursing Center. She was born in Ashe County on August 15, 1937 to the late Bradley Lawrence and Mae Rash Lawrence. Mrs. Moses retired from Broyhill Furniture Industries after 45 years of service. She was an active member of Walking By Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Moses loved children and her baby dolls and will be remembered as a loving, caring woman that never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Moses; daughter, Linda Gail Lawrence; brothers, Ray, Hugh and Daniel Lawrence; and sisters, Opal Roark and Beatrice Miller. She is survived by her brother, Kermit Lawrence and wife, Ruth; sister, Linda Woodard and husband, Ernie; daughter, Patsy Foster and husband, Jimmy; numerous nieces and nephews; and her dog, Sugar. A celebration of Mrs. Moses life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 2:30 PM with Pastor Marvin Ford officiating. Burial will follow the service at Walking By Faith Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 prior to the service.
