Mary Livingston

Lenoir – Mrs. Mary Joan Hoyle Livingston, age 83, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Novant Health in Charlotte. She was born in Caldwell County on November 19, 1934 to the late Claude Lee Hoyle and Myrtle McGee Hoyle. Mrs. Livingston retired from Bernhardt Furniture Industries after many years of service. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Livingston; her son, Keith Livingston; brothers, Claude Lee Hoyle I; Edward Hoyle; Carroll Hoyle; AB Hoyle; Kenneth Hoyle; and sister, Viola Hoyle Shatley. Mrs. Livingston is survived by her daughters, Deborah Douglass and husband, Cass; Paula Arey and husband, Frank; and Denise Livingston; brother, Wayne Hoyle; sisters, Shelby H. Craig; Marjorie H. Hurst; and Judy H. Frazier; grandchildren, CassDouglass II; Amber Douglass; Cole Douglass; Emily Batten; Alex Arey; Frank Arey; and Lauren Livingston; and numerous other family members. A celebration of Mrs. Livingston’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 5:00 PM.
