Mary Dean Icenhour Barlow

Lenoir, NC- Mary Dean Icenhour Barlow, age 78, of the Kings Creek Community, died Friday, April 20, 2007 at her home. Born July 6, 1928 in Caldwell County, Mrs. Barlow was the wife of Marvin Wayne Barlow of the home and a daughter of the late John Gwyn and Mishie Beach Icenhour. Mrs. Barlow was a member of Kings Creek Baptist Church and the Kings Creek Ruritan Club. She taught crafts and macramé at the community college and was a former member of the Foothills Squares. Surviving other than her husband are two sons, Ronald Wayne Barlow of Hickory; Timothy Dean Barlow and wife Donna of Lenoir; one daughter, Lisa Barlow Rich of Lenoir; three brothers, Bill Icenhour and wife Ramona; Boyd Icenhour and wife Louise and Jack Icenhour all of Lenoir; 6 grandchildren, Adrienne Childres of Hickory; Keisha Coley of Newton; Kelli Barlow of Garner; Kent Barlow, William Rich and Katie Barlow all of Lenoir and 3 great-grandchildren, Shea Childres of Hickory; Keegan Coley of Newton and Hunter Rich of Lenoir. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Debra Faye Barlow and Linda Kay Barlow and 3 sisters, Jewell Hayes, Ruth Icenhour and Faye Greer. A celebration of Mrs. Barlow?s life will be held 2:30 PM Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Kings Creek Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Goode and Dr. Bob Lowman officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Kings Creek Baptist Church. Pallbearers will be: Will Rich, Kent Barlow, Chris Childres, Sheldon Coley, John Brookshire and Gwyn Icenhour.
