Mary Louise Smith Clark Huffman, age 68, of Lenoir passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at her home. Born February 1, 1948 in Caldwell County, she was a daughter of the late William McLean and Mary Gloria Baldwin Smith. Mary was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Roger Clark; and her step mother, Beatrice Smith. She is survived by her husband, James Huffman of the Home; two sons, James Keith Clark ( wife Christine) and Shaun Clark ( wife Peggy Auton); a daughter, Tonya Clark; four grandchildren, Christon Reid, Cherish Lail, Myranda Clark and Travis Booher; four great grandchildren, Dayton Helton, Devlin Reid, Masyn Mungro and Asha Lail; three brothers, William “Billy” Smith ( wife Sherry), Bobby Smith ( wife Mischelle) and Michael Smith ( wife Denise); two sisters, Peggy Greer ( husband Jim) and Betty Brumley ( husband Bob); she is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of Mary’s life will be held on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 3:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Pastor Buddy Sizemore, Pastor John Parker and Pastor John Gray officiating. Interment will follow in the Puett Hill Cemetery in Collettsville. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service. Memorials can be made to the Hudson Lions Club at 176 Hudson Cajah Mountain Road, Hudson, NC 28638. Online condolences can be sent to the family at www.evansfuneralservice.com.
