Mary Hoover

Lenoir- Mrs. Mary Crump Hoover passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Novant Health- Forsyth in Winston Salem. She was born in Caldwell County to the late George Crump and Millie Pierce Crump. Mrs. Hoover was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Hoover. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Gary Hoover and sister, Ruth Anderson. Mrs. Hoover was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She attended church most of her life and never lost her passion for God. She loved taking care of her home and enjoyed gardening and cooking. Mrs. Hoover is survived by her grandchildren, Angie Hodges and husband, Jeremy of Winston-Salem; Jessica Woodruff and husband, Jon of Lenoir; great-grandchildren, Ally, Kennedy and Bella Hodges; and Addison and Cohen Woodruff. A graveside service celebrating Mrs. Hoover’s life will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Raymond Spann and Pastor David Payne officiating.
