Mary Lou Haas

Mrs. Mary Lou Haas, age 73, of Hudson passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Caldwell UNC Health Care. Born December 22, 1946 in Roan Mountain, Tennessee, Mary was a daughter of the late Emory and Annie Mae Jones.Mary enjoyed gardening and working in her flower bed. She loved going to yard sales, cooking and taking rides through the mountains.One of the things she enjoyed most was being a Granny and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Leonard and Allen Jones; a sister, Volinea “Bo” Helton; a nephew, Buddy Jones. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Ronald Marlin Haas; two daughters, Vanessa “Nay-Nay” Murphy and Crystal Haas; a son, Richard Haas (wife Amanda); a brother, Collin Jones;four grandchildren, Brooklyn Seber, Megan Williams, Savannah Smith and Dalton Murphy;4 great grandchildren, Dawson Seber, Westin Smith, Elam Bowman and Caylin Smith; a special friend, Leta Townsend and Pat Sentelle; she is also survived by numerous other relatives.
