Mary Swanson Gentry

Mary Gentry Lenoir – Mary Christine Swanson Gentry, age 88, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at Gateway Nursing Center. She was born in Caldwell County on November 9, 1926 to the late Haywood Swanson and Viola Robeson Swanson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jay William Gentry; brothers, B.H. Swanson and Gene Swanson; and her sister, Sara House. She is survived by her sons, Larry Gentry and Bill Gentry and wife, Janice; sister, Libby Connors of Texas; grandchildren, Scott Gentry and Kelly Gentry; and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside memorial service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM.
