Mary Ellen Foster

Mary Ellen Foster, age 70, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her residence. She was born in Caldwell County on August 8, 1954 to the late Joseph Killian and Julia Bradshaw Killian.

Mary Ellen was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and reading.  She loved God and attending Hillcrest Baptist Church until her health no longer allowed her to attend regularly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Foster; daughter, Angela McCloud; brother, Bob; and sisters, Colleen, Maggie Sue, Dot and Rosa Lee.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Truesdale and husband, Jasen; grandson, Trevor Truesdale; granddaughter, Kayla Carnevale; great-grandchildren, Ezekiel and Amiyah; brothers, Raymond and Jerry Killian; sisters, Edith Brown; Norma Jean Johnson; and Linda Church Story; and numerous other family members.

A celebration of Mary Ellen’s life will be held in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at 12:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Poarch officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service.
