Mary Felton

Mrs. Mary Steele Felton, age 75, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Carolina Rehabilitation in Connelly Springs. Born April 20, 1947 in Mecklenburg County, Mary was a daughter of the late Rev. John S. and Isabelle “Polly” Moore Steele. Mary was a member of the Hudson United Methodist Church. She was very active and a member of the church choir, the Happy Cheers Quilting Club and also the Hudson United Methodist Church Women. Mary will be remembered for her laugh and her poundcakes. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Frank Felton; her children, Tom Felton (wife Laurie), Laura Felton and Robert Felton (wife Anita); her grandchildren, Jayce Richister, Bryan Richister, Isabel Felton and Elena Felton; her sister, Emily Moore; a brother, John “Jack” S. Steele, Jr. (wife Kathryn); she is also survived by numerous other relatives. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
