Mary Bryant Mary Katherine Kincaid Bryant passed away February 28, 2015.Born March 3, 1933 “Kat” was a homemaker for many years while her children were younger.She worked for Hammary Furniture and retired from Fairfield Chair Company in 1989.A loving and devoted wife and mother, her family was her greatest joy. Kat also enjoyed baking, reading her bible, watching the Atlanta Braves and the Carolina Tarheels, as well as being entertained by her grandchildren.She is a member of Gospel Truth Ministries in Lenoir.Leaving behind a legacy of love and family, she had a heart of gold, a soft and gentle spirit that comes from the Lord. She was admired by many and she will be deeply missed. She was survived by her children, Steve (Billie) Bryant, Dennis Bryant, Rocky (Sandy) Bryant, Linda (Rick) Roberts, Becky (Bobby) Lambert, Kathy (Randy) Franklin and Sid Bryant.She is also survived by her twenty one grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, two brothers Ralph (Alma) and Richard (Evelyn) Kincaid, her sister-in-laws Faye Cooke, Billie Kincaid, Mary Bryant and a brother-in-law, Archie Bryant (Susan). Kat was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-six years, Ray W. Bryant, her parents Huitt and Maude Kincaid, her brothers Howard Kincaid, and Tim Kincaid and his wife Joanne, her sister Judy Craig and her husband Clarence, her sister Drucilla Adams and her husband Hugh, and her niece Nadine Rogers. Additionally, Kat was preceded by her in-laws Clyde and Pearl Bryant, Vanoy and Renia Bryant, Dan and Evelyn Bryant, Andy and Betty Bryant, Paul Bryant and Jim Cooke. The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral home at 1070 Taylorsville Road, Lenoir, NC 28645 on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from one thirty until three o’clock, followed by a funeral service at three o’clock at Evans.Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens following the service. Rev. Mike Minton and Rev. Linda Kelly will be officiating the service. Memorials may be given to The American Kidney Foundation or Gospel Truth Ministries, 3810 Blowing Rock Blvd in Lenoir, NC or Hospice of Hudson, 526 Pine Mountain Road, Hudson, NC 28638. The family would like to express our deepest gratitude to Nancy Walker who helped us care for our mother, to Lorene Pope, our friend and neighbor who assists our family in many ways and to Dr. John McMenemy and his staff for their fine care and compassion for our mother.
