Marvin Lewis Pritchard

Lenoir, NC- Mr. Marvin Lewis “Fireball” Pritchard, age 77, of Lenoir passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2011 at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care in Hudson. Born May 4, 1934 in Caldwell County, Marvin was a son of the late Arthur and Ethel Pritchard. Marvin worked in furniture for many years. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband and grandfather. Marvin loved to do for others. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Kanipe.          Survivors include his wife, Carol Ann Pritchard of the home, a son, Richard Pritchard of Charleston, SC; two daughters, Lisa Pritchard and Marrion Pritchard both from Lenoir, two brothers, Johnny Pritchard of Hudson, and Charles Pritchard of Baton, NC; a sister, Barbara Blevins of Blue Creek, NC; he is also survived by three grandchildren and numerous other relatives. A celebration of Marvin’s life will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Mulvale  Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Pritchard and Pastor Brian Smith officiating. Interment will take place in the Estes & Chester Cemetery behind the family’s home. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the Pritchard Family at P.O. Box 3406, Lenoir, NC 28645.
