Marvin Frye

Lenoir- Marvin Luther Frye, Sr., age 79, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021 at Caldwell Hospice Robbins Center. He was born in Caldwell County on September 17, 1941 to the late Ellis and Lovie Frye. He was married to Kay Littlejohn Frye of the residence for more than 55 years. Marvin worked in the furniture industry for more than 47 years, with 31 years spent at Thomasville Furniture Industries. His most enjoyable hobby was anything to do with guns, whether it be shooting or reloading ammo. Marvin was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Clifford; Kenneth; Glen; Norman, Charles and Ransom Frye; and sister, Ola Jean Frye Dillard. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Marvin Frye, Jr. and wife, Leah; Angela Helton and husband, Billy; Michael Frye and wife, Amy; sister, Juanita Frye Bean; grandchildren, Tarin; Makaela; and Zachary Helton; Andrew and Tanner Frye; and Emmett and Nathan Gibson. A graveside service celebrating Marvin’s life will be held at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Junior Hamby officiating.
