Martha Lorena Tedder

Lorena Tedder Martha “Lorena” Tedder went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 18th. She was born June 11, 1935 in Connelly Springs, NC to the late Lloyd Buzz Lowman and Zelder Rae Lowman. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Roy E. Tedder and 2 children: her daughter, Andrea Beane and her husband, Lynn and a grandson, Thomas of Baton, and her son, Michael S. Tedder, his fiancée, Brenda Stubbs and her son Aidan of Greensboro, as well as her daughter-in-law and friend, Martha Johnson Tedder of Asheville, NC. She also has a brother, Howard “Buddy” Lowman and his wife, Ann, of Glen Alpine, 2 sister-in-laws, Barbara Lowman of Sawmills, and Maureen Thompson of Connelly Springs, as well as 2 nieces, Martha Lowman Cornatzer of Oldsmar, FL and Sherry Barrier of Sawmills and a nephew, Rayfield Lowman, also of Sawmills. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by one son Kevin E. Tedder and two brothers, Jay Van Lowman and Larry Joe Lowman. Mrs. Tedder worked for the Caldwell County School System at East Harper Academy and Davenport Elementary School for 21 years. She enjoyed her time working with the children and touched many lives in her time with the school system. The family will receive friends in the chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Saturday, December 21, 2013 from 2:30 until 3:30. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Park at 4:00 on Saturday, December 21, 2013. Pallbearers will be Tim Annas, Jeff Annas, Terry Snyder, Jerry Snyder, Keith Tedder, Neil Tedder, Steve Tedder, Robert Tedder, and Rayfield Lowman. Honorary pallbearers will be Glenn “Bubba” Blair and Nick Wilcox. After the service the family will be receiving friends at the home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Grace Baptist Church, Hwy 18 Morganton Blvd, Lenoir NC 28645 and Caldwell County Hospice, 902 Kirkwood Street Lenoir, NC 28645.
