Evans Funeral Service & Crematory 754-7979 May 28, 2010 Lenoir- Mrs. Martha Jane Phillips Byerly, age 59, of Lenoir, passed away Friday, May 28, 2010, at Caldwell Hospice & Palliative Care. Mrs. Byerly was born March 8, 1951 in Caldwell County to the late Glen and Ruth Brown Phillips. She was a member of Calvary Advent Christian Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Byerly was predeceased by her husband Robert Byerly, and her brother, Buddy Franklin Phillips. She is survived by three children, Kimberly Hope Higgins and husband, Michael of Alexander, NC; Robert Edmond Byerly, III and wife, Chrissy of Hudson; and Wendy Moore and husband, Mike of Collettsville ; three sisters, Linda Russell and Lee Carlton of Lenoir; Teresa Pilkenton and husband, Doug of Lenoir; Debbie Hicks and husband, Claude of Lenoir; one brother, Joe Phillips and wife, Linda of Lenoir; six grandchildren, Robert Byerly,IV (R.B.), Ben Byerly, Brady Byerly, Morgan Higgins, Will Moore, Jesse Moore, Amber Moore and Jacob Moore. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Byerly?s life will be conducted Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Calvary Advent Christian Church at 3:00 PM with the Reverend Jim Lee and Reverend Ed Greene officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 30, 2010, from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service at Calvary Advent Christian Church.
