Martha Jane Coffey Stapleton

Lenoir,NC ? Mrs. Martha Jane Coffey Stapleton, age 80, of Lenoir, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Stapleton was born in Caldwell County on January 16, 1930 to the late Charles and Julia Knight Coffey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stapleton was predeceased by her first husband, George Townsend; six brothers, William, Collis , Paul, Ralph, Tony, and Max Coffey; and one sister, Leathie Hodge. She is survived by her sister, Effie Coffey and husband Edgar, of Lenoir; her special child, Tina Coleman of Lenoir; a special friend, Barbara Dillard, of Lenoir; her caregiver, Patricia Coffey; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Mrs. Stapleton?s life will be held on Saturday, May 29, 2010, 2:00 P.M., at Worship Point Baptist Church with the Reverend Randy Gibson officiating. Interment will follow at Boone?s Fork Community Cemetery in Blowing Rock, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 29, 2010, from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the service at Worship Point Baptist Church.
