Martha Geneva Cannon

Martha Geneva Cannon, age 79, of Granite Falls, North Carolina, passed away on December 16 ^th 2022 in her home.

Martha was born on January 23 ^rd , 1943 to the late I. E. Miller and Dollie Huffman Miller.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband Bruce S. Cannon; sister Jeanette Faw; two brothers Jimmy and Sammy Miller.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son Mark (Tammy) Cannon; daughter Hope (Mike) Haney; two granddaughters Brooke (Justin) Winebarger, Meredith (Mark) Noble; great grandchildren Carson, Camdyn, Callie Winebarger and Raylan Noble; and sister Sara (Jim) Pleso.

Martha’s great grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved to visit the beach and collect seashells. Martha was a wonderful cook and the best cake baker. She loved to work outside with her flowers. Martha was a caretaker to many, and she was always the first person to help those in need. Martha was the best Mama and Mamaw.

The family will receive visitors at Evans Funeral Service Chapel on Wednesday December 21 ^st , 2022 from 12pm- 2pm.

A graveside service will be held to honor Martha Geneva Cannon at Mountain Grove Church Cemetery on Wednesday December 21 ^st , 2022 immediately following receiving with Reverend Larry Cline and Reverend Douglas Cox officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Haney, Justin Winebarger, Garry Winebarger; and Mark Noble. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Carson Winebarger.

The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Caldwell County Hospice.
