Marsha Monaghan Grant

Lenoir, NC- Marsha Monaghan Grant Brown, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Baltimore, MD on March 28, 1945 to the late Joseph Robert Monaghan and Cleo Victoria Haverstein. She is married to Edward E. Brown of the residence. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Beth Magrogan; godson, Brian Monahan; grandchild, Michael Williams; and furry child, Cuddles. She is survived by her children, Christine Honeycutt and husband, Tracy; Mia Brown and husband, Eddie; Linda Gragg; Glenda Long and husband, Ed; Sheila Greene and husband, Russell; Jimmy Brown and wife, Cynthia; Brenda Brown; and Eddie Brown; brother, Richard Monahan and wife, Renee; half-brother, Gary Haverstein and wife, Nancy; granddaughter, Beth Deal and husband, Lee; 11 other grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of Mrs. Grant̢۪s life will be held at Sunrise Baptist Church on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM with Pastor David Woods and Pastor Chris Messer officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 prior to the service.
