Mark Anthony Woodring

Mark Anthony Woodring, 59, of Lenoir passed away unexpectedly on November 15, 2021. Mark was born to Grady Woodring and Shirly W. Smith on September 30, 1962. He was preceded in death by his father, stepfather Cecil Smith, and brother Kurt Woodring. Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Shirley Smith; sisters, Rachel Saunders (John), Jacque Woodring (Jerry); his sister- in- law, Annette Woodring; daughter, Elisha Garren (Frank); granddaughter, Alexis Miller; and his grandson, Landyn Crump. Mark is survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Mark worked in floor covering in his younger years. He was a handyman and loved to tinker with lawn mowers, go-carts, and 4-wheelers. Mark loved to be outdoors, and he had a special connection with animals. He was a champion for underdogs. Mark will be missed by many. The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service on Friday, November 19, 2021 from 11:30 until 12:30. A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at 12:30 following the visitation. Interment will be at Sunset Hills following the service. Pallbearers will be Jason Coffey; Brandon McLean; Brent McLean; Jerry Kimberlin; Eric Moody and Danny Woodring.
